| A land so
close to the SKY
The area around Cascia is usually known because
of it’s main town: a village turned into a
city thanks to Santa Rita and her worship. That
is an injustice to the surrounding countryside;
some of the places tha Saint loved would deserve
a pilgrimage: well groomed soils, small villages
tight around their church, like a flock around it’s
shepard. In these highlands, so close to heaven,
you will appreciatethe flavours of the typical Casciacheeses,
the emmer wheat, th ehoney and the truffles.
